May 20th | Connor's 10th Birthday Party

Day 141 | May 20, 2012 - Sunday

We went from a Lego themed party to pool party in a matter of a week and somehow I pulled it off. Despite the fact that I had 101 fever, flu, and pink eye, the party was a blast and as Connor said "it was the best day ever!" I didn't get to take as many photos as I wanted or set up the decor exactly as I envisioned but no one seemed to notice. I was so excited about the shooty booth but could only snap a few minutes worth of photos before I was just too tired. I knew I had to get a few photos--I put too much work into this party not to document it. Here ya go...

...as were the pixie sticks and pool noodles (aka twizzlers). We also had life savers, beach balls (gumballs), starburst, orange wedges, gummy bears, smarties, skittles, and hot tomales.

Everyone had a blast and I was completely exhausted but glad I was able to be a part of it and give him a party he could be proud of!

May 11th through May 18th

Day 132 | May 11, 2012 - Friday

I love visiting the girls class and try to do it at least once or twice a month. I usually plan it around a holiday so I can bring yummy treats with me. This trip was in honor of Mother's Day and I wanted to be sure to do something extra special for the girls teachers. 

I made all three teachers a flower pot that I painted with chalkboard paint. Each pot had their name on it as well as a message that said "Thank you for helping me blossom". Now I'm constantly looking for something to use the rest of the paint on.

Today was also special because today was the first time Kelsey sat on the floor for longer than a few second (she sat for almost 20 minutes straight...crazy!). I think she was so preoccupied with watching all the children that she forgot she was sitting.

Paige and Mrs. Casey made quiet a mess on the table mixing cornstarch and water.

The treats I brought to class--chocolate covered strawberries for the teachers and strawberry cupcakes for the kiddos.

Day 133 | May 12, 2012 - Saturday

It's as if she'd been sitting all her life...she's gone from newborn to baby in a day.

Day 134 | May 13, 2012 - Sunday

Mother's Day and I spent the morning baking the kids favorite breakfast...cinnamon crescent rolls.

Day 135 | May 14, 2012

The runny nose and cough caught up with Paige. Poor thing woke with with a fever and headache and didn't sleep much, so she stayed home from school and spent the next two days right were you see her.

Day 136 | May 15, 2012

If you know Paige you know she must be real sick if she stays in one place for more than 2 seconds. I've never seen her this sick...poor thing just laid there with the blanket over her head. Temperature ran around 102 and she didn't eat much but by the end of the day she smiled and said " All better mommy".

Day 137 | May 16, 2012 - Wednesday

Connor loves these pajama bottoms; their stretched out and do not fit. I told him to get rid of them but he insists on keeping them, so I have him a pair of his sister's suspenders and told him if he wants to wear the pants he must wear the suspenders. I think he was trying to mock me when he added the oversized glasses and pulled the pants up as high as he could. Very Urkelesque!

Day 138 | May 17, 2012 - Thursday

I love watching her play. Picking up a toy, switching it back and forth between hands, putting is down and doing it again. Yet another huge milestone...one the twins didn't do until they were almost two years old!

Day 139 | May 18, 2012 - Friday

No Paige...it's not okay to use your sister as a chair!

Day 126 | May 5, 2012 - Saturday

We celebrated Cinco De Mayo this year at home with the girls. Pete brought home some chips and salsa and, needless to say, the girls loved it. I loved watching Paige scooping the salsa from the jar and Bree trying to shove and entire tortilla into her mouth. Best part? When Paige said "I love Cinco de Mayo"!

Day 127 | May 6, 2012 - Sunday
The pool is set and the whole family jumped in today. Paige can't get enough of the water and her new trick--climbing to the top of the ladder and yelling at the top of her lungs "3...2...1...Blast off!" and jumping backward into the pool.

Day 128 | May 7, 2012 - Monday
My weekday mornings are consumed by this little cutie. Keeping her entertained has become a little easier as she's gotten older--giving mommy more free time to get work done.

Day 129 | May 8, 2012 - Tuesday
We have "Tubby Time" every night at 7pm...it's part of a well-oiled machine of a schedule that really works for our family. I love the smell of clean baby and love the way Kelsey's fuzz for hair sticks straight up.

Day 130 | May 9, 2012 - Wednesday
She love helping her mommy...tapping on the keyboard, ruffling all my papers, drooling on my calendar, and even chewing on my frames.

Day 131 | May 10, 2012 - Thursday

Being a photographers' assistant is no easy task. After just a few hours of watching mommy work, Kelsey decided she deserved a little nap.

Bree has to be one of the happiest little girls I know. She loves the freedom of crawling around the backyard and with the hot summer months coming, we took every opportunity to enjoy the nicer weather outside.

 Let the pool building begin. That's me...moving THREE TONS of sand all by myself! The sand was used to level to spot we planned to put the pool. I was so sore and sun burnt by it as well worth it.

Connor even gave me a hand when he came home from school.
