Today was Kelsey's 15 month check-up with the pediatrician. I could tell from the moment she woke up it wasn't going to be a good day and I was not wrong. Miss Kelsey screamed and cried the entire appointment...even threw herself in the floor and wouldn't get up. The poor parents in the waiting room probably thought we were torturing her. She was so upset after her exam that she crawled underneath the chairs and wouldn't come out. Absolutely pitiful!
Good news is she's finally making progress on the growth chart. She's up to 20lbs 12oz and 31inches and developmentally she's progressing by leaps and bounds. A few words she says are mom, dad, grandma, please, thank you, welcome, more, milk, bye, hi, and bud (that's what she calls Connor).
She's running, climbing stairs and furniture, she can undress and help dress herself, she's feeding with a fork and spoon, and understands simple commands and questions. If I ask her if she needs a diaper change she will walk to her changing table. If I ask her if she's thirsty she will walk to the refrigerator. I'll ask her if she wants to go bye-bye and she'll run to the door. It's truly amazing what she understands and how well she's able to communicate.
