August 29th | Kelsey's 10 months old

Day 242 | August 29, 2012 - Wednesday
TEN month already!!!
So Kelsey's stats are 16 lbs 9oz and 28½ inches tall (little peanut). It seems as if Kelsey is developing quicker then I remember Connor did, even though that was 10 years ago. I never would have imagined she would be walking only 10 months but she's doing it. She wants to be a part of everything her brother and sisters are doing and follows them where ever they go. He new favorite thing is taking the clothes out of the dresser and playing with the remote or phone. Kelsey has also become quite the talker and now babbles mama, dada, and ya. She looks you right in the eye as if she's having a conversation...we talk about all kinds of things:)

August 28th

Day 241 | August 28. 2012 - Tuesday
Today was Paige and Bree's first visit to the dentist. Finding an office that accepts Special Needs kids was not easy and when I heard about Barnes & McDonnell Pediatric Dentistry I called immediately. The experience was wonderful and the hygienists made the girls feel comfortable. New toothbrushes, special toy, and big smiles...couldn't have dreamed of a better visit.

August 21st through August 23rd

Day 234 | August 21, 2012 - Tuesday
My shopping buddy...she slept the whole time we were at Target. She truly is a dream!

Day 235 | August 22, 2012 - Wednesday
We thought we were prepared for school but learned that Connor outgrew his shoes within weeks of going back. So we were off to the mall to find the perfect pair and he found them. Success!!!

Day 236 | August 23, 2012 - Thursday
Our bi-yearly trip to Shands Hospital in Gainesville for Paige and Bree's neurology appointment with Dr. Carney. We started the morning at 4:30am and headed northwest 2½ hours for their first appointment at the EEG lab. The techs brought us back (me with Bree and Pete with Paige) to being mapping and connecting the electrodes. Bree did wonderful, sitting quietly and enjoying the attention. Paige however did not have the same luck. When it comes to doctors, examination tables, touching, gloves--all of it give her anxiety. After several attempt to map her head the tech gave up and told me I would have to reschedule. This did NOT make me happy and I made sure they knew that. So, a few minutes later another tech came out and answered my prayers. She was amazing with Paige and before I knew it they started the testing. The strobes always calm her and just as usual she fell asleep right after.

After the EEG we headed over to Dr. Carney's office were we discussed our concerns and the result of the test. We made the decision to keep the girls on the Lamictal and Topamax and added Concerta to Paige's med list. More on that later...

Day 233 | First Day of School

Day 233 | August 20, 2012 - Monday
Summer is over and the kiddos are off to school. I can't say I wasn't a little excited to see them go and to get my quiet mornings back. Paige and Bree started school as official Kindergarteners even though they've attended their school for almost three years now. Connor has started his last year of elementary school as the big 5th grader.
Kelsey: "Haha, you have to go to school today!"
Bree: "Aww man!"
Paige: " gotta be kidding me!"

August 16th through August 19th

Day 229 | August 16, 2012 - Thursday
She's pulling herself more and more everyday. Most days are spent cruising from toy to toy and this little walker is one of her faves.

Day 230 | August 17, 2012 - Friday
Today was Meet the Teacher for the girls and Connor. I think I was more excited to see who Connor's teach was then he was. As he looks for his name on the list of 5th graders he discovers his teach is Mrs. O'Connor!!!!

Day 231 | August 18, 2012 - Saturday
Happy 41st Birthday to my wonderful husband!

Connor went to the bakery an decorated Pete's cake. Cute, huh? Cheese Cake layered with Vanilla Cake with Lemon Curd filling...soo yummy :)

Day 232 | August 19, 2012 - Sunday
I think he had a little too much fun last night. Feel asleep in the middle of the afternoon and with all the chaos and noise in our house, that's not easy.

Thursday, August 16, 2012

August 13th through August 15th

Day 226 | August 13, 2012 - Monday
Every summer day has rain--just about--so to keep my sanity and the kids entertained we play in the rain.

Day 227 | August 14, 2012 - Tuesday
She's into everything now. Paige learned how to open the fridge (even with locks) and Kelsey is right there to climb inside.

Day 228 | August 15, 2012 - Wednesday
What to do on rainy days? How about crafts? The kids made door hangs today from $1 finds at Walmart.

August 11, 2012 | Bahamas Cruise Day 3

Day 224 | August 11, 2012 - Saturday
Day at Sea...enjoyed the pool, the slides, and relaxing around the ship. Didn't take many pictures today b/c I just wanted to enjoy the moment and not worry about lugging around my big bag. No regrets...had and amazing time with the kiddos.

August 10, 2012 | Bahamas Cruise Day 2

Day 223 | August 10, 2012 - Friday
Today was by far the most memorable day of the trip. The day started off rainy as we docked at the beautiful island of Nassau, Bahamas. By the time we all walked off the ship and got in our taxi the rain had stopped and the weather was perfect. We arrived at our destination--a beautiful beach just west of Atlantis. Crystal clear blue waters, soft sand, and cold was good. Until...
I realized my bag was missing. My bag with my life in it. My license, sail and sign card, credit cards, CAMERAS, phone, everything was in that bag. We made a stop along the way and my mistake by putting someone else in charge of the bag because they forgot it on a bench. Thankfully, our taxi driver was still near by and offered to stop and see if the bag was still on the bench. I knew there was no way that bag was still sitting there and thirty agonizing minutes later the driver walked up with my bag.
I was finally able to take a few photos by missed out on riding the jet ski's. In the end, it was a learning experience and we all were able to still enjoy our day.

Loved having my GoPro with it's waterproof case

Crazy boys!!!

Sad there was a water drop right over our faces...even if Saucy was giving us bunny ears!
