The Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Old Fort Park in New Smyrna was today and I'm glad I braved the crowds all by myself to take the kiddos. The city put on the event for kids off all ages and Connor was able to participate in the 10-12 year age group. Bree was being fussy, Paige was hitting people as the walked by, and Kelsey was doing her fair share of naughtiness so I didn't get to take as many photos as I wanted but it was still a nice afternoon.

Afterwards, I felt super brave and took all four kids to lunch at Red Robin. My theory is if I let fear overtake me then we'll never experience life.
Everyone knows by now that getting all of my kids smiling and looking at the camera will never happen (without the help of photoshop ;-) but I always try.

Finally...warm, park weather during Spring Break.
I could keep my kiddos caged up anymore this week so we finally made the trip to Manatee Park in New Smyrna Beach. I don't use my 16-35mm 2.8L lens nearly enough so I decided to switch it out with my 50mm 1.4 and have a little wide-angle fun.

We made cupcakes today. Bree was the only one who would eat one and they were so yummy. Paige wanted to eat all the robin eggs off the top and poor Kelsey had a tummy ache and didn't eat anything. But Bree, she had a smile from ear to ear and ate every last bit.

Sometimes it's just easier to give the girls a bath in the kitchen sink. Bending over the tub, lifting the girls in and out of the water...it get to be hard on the back. So, today I have the girls a 'sinkie'.

The girls and wore purple today for a very special reason. Today is National Epilepsy Awareness Day and to honor that and help bring awareness to those who may not know about epilepsy and seizure disorders. Most of you know that our twins, Paige and Bree, suffer from tonic-clonic seizures. We're hopeful for a cure one day and will do everything we can to do our part in finding that cure.

I'm such a sucker for a big smile and happy faces. An impromptu trip to Toys R Us lead to the purchase of a new train table.
How?
After watching all three girls complete engrossed in playing with the trains, running them along the tracks, making choo choo sounds--it was just to cute and I knew I had to have this at home. It was pretty late by the time I finished building the table and getting the tracks put together but they've played with it every day since it was brought home.

 8th Annual Pig Snout Rib-Off 2013

Every year many friends and family members head out to Samsula for our annual barbeque rib contest. Pete came in Second place last year and was ready to defend his title with a first place win. Three judges tasted ribs made by several contestants and a winner was chosen. It was a hot, rainy day spent with the best of friends and I can't wait to make it bigger and better next year!

Every time I being home water Paige has to help me put them away. But not after she's moved them from counter to table to floor...it's a repetitive thing with her.

What a day for Connor! Awards ceremony and a field trip to the local museum and I was there for every minute of it. We started the morning with Connor receiving two awards--first for Quality Demonstration of Cooperation and second for Honor Roll. Immediately after the awards, all fifth grade classes loaded up on school buses and headed to the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Daytona Beach. We sat back and learned all about the solar system the the museum's planetarium then sat in their theater as one of the curators taught us about they types of energy. I was even asked to go up on stage to particpate! Everyone enjoyed lunch outside under the warm sun then headed back to school. I'm pretty sure this will be the last field trip I will ever go on with Connor and I'm glad I took the time to do it :)

Connor with his buddy Zach

I can only image what he is thinking...surrounded by all these cute young ladies.

A shot I managed to get during the laser light show in the planetarium.

One thing I learned today...Connor is a social butterfly and is friendly with pretty much everyone in his class.

Kelsey refuses to sit in her highchair and insists on sitting in the big girl chairs. She couldn't be more happy to sit next to mommy for breakfast this morning.

Seriously...how cute is this?!?!
Kelsey love to give hugs and kisses to her sisters and thought it was hilarious when she jumped up and down on Paige and made her laugh. She's the perfect mix of Paige's humor and Bree's sweetness.
