Week Four | January 23 through 27

Monday, January 23, 2012
"Pants on the Ground"

Our girls are so tiny, so finding pant that fit a 18mo waist and 4yo length is impossible. Poor things are always pulling their pants up.

"Orange Colored Skies"

I know this doesn't have our family in it but I could resist snapping this pic of the gorgeous sky as the girls waited for their bus this morning. No editing was done to this image!!!

"I Be Walkin'"

Bree's weekly visit to First Step Theraputics for physical therapy.

Thursday, January 26, 2012
"A colorful day"

The girls love playing dress up so we took Kelsey's leg warmers and ran with it.

So adorable :)

Friday, January 27, 2012
"Fall leaves in January"

The leaves finally fell off of our tree in the front year so I decided to bring the girls out to play...daddy could resist rolling around too.

Week Four | January 21st and 22nd

Saturday, January 21, 2012
"Saturday Morning Cartoons"

Be prepared for lots of these shots...Kelsey looking at things. After have twins with Cortical Visual Impairment and never able to look at things the way Kelsey does, it just amazes me! She stares at the television in such amusement, as well as the ceiling fan and people as they walk by (it's the little things).

"She wants a Froot Loop"

My girls looooove cereal and one of their favorites is froot loops...they ate almost an entire box today!

Day 20 | Walk this Way

Friday, January 20th, 2012
"Walk this Way"

It was a beautiful day Friday and the last day of Pete's vacation. We decided to spend some time outside were it was a comfortable 78 degrees. With Paige and Kelsey in the double stroller and Bree in her wheelchair, we set off down the road.

Day 19 | Diaper Duty

Thursday, January 19th
"Diaper Duty"

Be jealous mommy's...my little guy does diapers! I love to watch Connor doting on his little sister--he's the first to pick her up when she cries, says goodbye every morning before he leaves for school and hello every afternoon when he gets home.

Week Three | Day 18

Every six months we load up the minivan with snacks, books, movies, and crazy kids for our three hour tip to Tampa to visit Shriner's Hospital. These trips are for Paige and Bree to evaluate their bracing, wheelchair, and positioning issues. The photo below was taken while we waited in the evaluation room...

Our stay at the hospital is quite long...usually 4-5 hours. Below Paige is pacing around the waiting area with Pete.

Kelsey was great during the visit...slept most of the time. You can see Bree in the background eating fruit loops.

I had to get at least one photo with me in it.

I just love they way Connor adores his little sister...melts my heart :)

Final stop was at the Orthotics Dept. Paige is being molded for her new AFO's.

They use a material similar to casts to take a mold of her foot. Thankfully it sets quick...this is not Paige's favorite activity.

You can see some of the marks on her right foot were they mark all the high points to watch out for. After the casting sets they cut off and label them.

The final braces will be ready in four weeks were we will load up the van again for another full day at Shriner's.

Week Three | January 15 through 17

We're going on our third week with this project and I'm so proud of myself. It's a real challenge to shoot everyday but what makes it easy is the fact that there is always something going on in our home. I decided to break this week up because i wanted to dedicate an entire post to our trip to Shriner's Hospital--our next post. Here's what happened so far...

Sunday, January 15, 2012 - Miss Independent

Paige loves copying everything I do and moving the mouse around and clicking on the keyboard is one of her favorites.

Monday, January 16, 2012 - I'm open!

Connor got a basketball hoop for Christmas and loves shooting hoops. Since it was a beautiful day and the kids were home from school, we decided to play outside all day. Paige loved being included in the game and Bree cheered from the sideline.

Tuesday, January 17, 2012 - Two month shots

Last week was Kelsey's two-month checkup when she received most of her immunizations. Because of the twins medical conditions I was concerned with giving Kelsey sooooo many shots in one day--especially the DTaP shot (with an known side effect of seizures) so I decided to split them up over a two week period. Today we went back for one more shot and Kelsey go a camo band-aid...can you see it (haha!).

Week Two | January 8 through 14

Sunday, January 8, 2012 - Mommy's little helpers

The girls always enjoy helping mommy and the dishwasher is one place they love. Instead of getting frustrated that the girls and our wonderful dog are always under food, I let them play--taking the silverware in and out and moving the dishes from top to bottom.

Monday, January 9, 2012 - Dancing in the sunlight

It's the quiet moments...a rarity in our house...that I love the most. Paige was in her room (all by herself) singing and playing. I love the way the light hit her face and her cute little button nose.

Tuesday, January 10, 2012 - Let's get physical

It was a chilly morning and the perfect opportunity to try-out Kelsey's new leg warmers. As soon as I put them on her I had this overwhelming need to sing "Let's get Physical".

Wednesday, January 11, 2012 - Campfire fun

What's better then roasting marshmallows over an open fire in this chilly weather? Doing it with my little guy!

Thursday, January 12, 2012 - Say Cheeeese

Unfortunately this is a cell phone pic which is strange since I spend the entire day photographing a couple for their engagement session in Downtown St. Augustine. We stopped for dinner at Pizzalley's...this is the Garbage Can pizza and it was sooooo yummy!

Friday, January 13, 2012 - Proud big brother

Today was Connor's Pride Assembly were he received and award for Honor Roll as well as Terrific Kid. I snapped a few pics of him on stage and some of him holding his awards, but it was this moment that I love the most. He was so excited to show off his little sister and answering all their questions.

Saturday, January 14, 2012 - I see the light

Our little Paigey is quite the crazy little girl and keeping lamps and nightlights in her room is impossible. So we bought a nightlight that you install in an electrical outlet that's flush with the wall. The most interesting part of this whole DIY is Pete though he could remove the plug outlet and install the light without turning the power off. How many times was he shocked you ask? 4 :)

Week One | January 1st through 7th

Happy New Year everyone!!!

Every year people make a resolution, or several resolutions, to change the way they do things or to do something they've never done before. Well, you are now taking part in my resolution--a resolution to be more present in my childrens' lives. My resolution is titled "365 days of the Coderre Family". Everyday I promise to not only capture images of my clients' family but mine as well.

I opened up the file on my computer labeled Family 2011 and was shock to see only a few photos from the two or three times I made the effort to take decent pics of my kids. I'm totally guilty of  phone snapping--I have over 500 images on my phone. The sad part was that there is not a single picture of me and my husband, Pete, with the kids. I let an entire year go by without a single decent family photo :(

So, instead of promising to exercise more (probably should work on that though), or eat healthier (I won't go there), I will be capturing one, or more, photo a day of my family. It could be a photo of  Paige reading her favorite book or Connor playing basketball or the family together for a holiday. Whatever happens, I promise to be there to capture it! I may post every week, couple times a week...we'll see how it goes.

Now, let's meet the Coderre Family--Liz, Pete, Connor, Paige, Bree, and Kelsey...even our dog Zoie!

Sunday, January 1, 2012 - Bree welcomes Kelsey into her big girl room!

Miss Kelsey is two months old now and we've made the transition from bassinet in
mommy and daddy's room to crib in her new room with big sister Bree.
Paige seems a bit confused--we had to move her into Kelsey's room for
safety reasons. So Paige has her own room now.

Monday, January 2, 2012 - It's crunch time
Every morning starts off the same in our house. Bree is first one up and today
she is enjoying her "Crunch n' Crunch" cereal with a little Elmo on the tv.

 Tuesday, January 3, 2012 - A warm cup o' soup
Today was a coooold day, so dinner had to be soup. It's a big deal when
the girls get to feed themselves. Soup isn't usually a meal I give in to but Paige
was having such a fun time slurping and scooping.

Wednesday, January 4, 2012 - A quiet home makes a happy baby
Today was Connor, Paige, and Bree's first day back to school after the
holiday break. Kelsey decided to celebrate with a nap in her new room.

Thursday, January 5, 2012 - If you build it he will play
Connor decided he wanted to put together is roller coaster project. He opened
the instruction book, handed it to me and said " Mom, this is all you!"...he did help me with the easy pieces.

Friday, January 6, 2012 - A baby's on his way

Today I had a newborn session and decided to do some behind
the scenes shots. I'll be posting more of these pics on my blog www.lizcoderreblog.com .

Saturday, January 7, 2012 - Are they done yet?

The girls and I baked cookies today and Paige impatiently watched them
while saying (in her cookie monster voice) "me want cookie".
